Virtual Moment of Silence for Gun Violence Victims on December 14

WEST HARTFORD, CONN. (December 4, 2017) – All are invited to participate in a virtual moment of silence for the victims of gun violence on December 14, 2017 at 9:35 a.m. While this date marks the fifth anniversary of the school shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, which took the lives of 20 children and six adult staff members at Sandy Hook Elementary School, the moment of silence is an opportunity to remember all those who have perished in gun-related incidents.

The moment of silence is interfaith and non-partisan; as a virtual event, it can be observed anywhere. Suggestions for action will be shared on the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Hartford’s Facebook page. You can join the Facebook event at bit.ly/MomentofSilence.
