Free Giveaway at Staples Bishops Corner on August 30 

 The WOW! Project invites local families to stop by Staples Bishops Corner on August 30 from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m. for some sweet treats to welcome the new school year. WOW! partners with local Jewish schools, camps and agencies to brings Jewish education out of the classroom and encourage students to learn by doing. In addition to direct programming with students,

WOW! offers curriculum enrichment and hands-on training to help Jewish educators in Greater Hartford engage and inspire their students.

Some recent WOW! events have included:

• A mini-planetarium project to find our Biblical ancestors’ stories hidden in the stars
• Making pickles to extend the Sukkot harvest
• “Turkey and Torah,” exploring the connections between Jewish traditions and Thanksgiving
• A laser maze adventure exploring the theme of light in the Hanukkah story
