Description:
Following two excellent Short Story Coffee Break programs in April where participants discussed Erika’s poems and short stories with the author, our May program offers a unique opportunity to learn more about the world of publishing for Jewish stories and poetry. You've written (and revised) your short stories and/or poems. Now you think you might like to see them published. But where? How?

This workshop will teach you how to find homes for your creative work in literary magazines and websites. You'll discover where to locate these publications, how to study them, and how to prepare your work for submission. Time permitting, we'll also talk about literary contests. But we'll be sure to save time for your questions, too.

Erika Dreifus is the author of Birthright: Poems and Quiet Americans: Stories, which was named an American Library Association/Sophie Brody Medal Honor Title for outstanding achievement in Jewish literature. A fellow in the Sami Rohr Jewish Literary Institute, Erika teaches at Baruch College of The City University of New York. Visit her online at ErikaDreifus.com.
