Bridging the Divide: Building Peace, Coexistence and Partnership between Jewish and Arab Citizens of Israel

Lee Gordon, Co-Founder of Hand in Hand: Center for Jewish-Arab Education in Israel, will present Bridging the Divide: Building Peace, Coexistence and Partnership between Jewish and Arab Citizens of Israel through Hand in Hand’s Integrated Schools. He will speak about Jewish-Arab relations in Israel and the pioneering work of Hand in Hand building a new model of integrated and bilingual Hebrew-Arabic education across the country. Now with six schools and close to 2,000 Arab and Jewish students enrolled, Hand in Hand offers a hopeful path for bridging the divide between these two communities in conflict. He will speak during services, which begin at 7:30pm, as well as at the Oneg Shabbat which follows.
