In Greater Hartford, there is a staggering opportunity gap between students from less affluent towns and their peers in more advantaged communities. Literacy skills are essential for success in school and in life. Help us spread the joy of reading with so many local at-risk children!
ALL teens in 8th through 12th grade are invited to join JTConnect on January 20th from 11:30 am - 1:30pm at Congregation Beth Israel as we sort the 5,000+ books collected through Children's Reading Partners, in honor of MLK's legacy.
There is no cost to participate but please bring a used or new children's book. Lunch will be provided and community service certificates are available upon request.
Questions? Contact the JTConnect office at office@jtconnect.org or 860-727-6110.
