Meet Connecticut state legislators and learn about House Bill 7082, which calls for African American studies to be added to the social studies curricula of Connecticut public schools.
You will also have the opportunity to view the exhibit "Black Citizenship in the Age of Jim Crow," on loan from the New York Historical Society. It explores the struggle for full citizenship and racial equality that unfolded in the 50 years after the Civil War.
