How to Survive Thanksgiving Dinner: A Civil Discourse Community Workshop
Wednesday, November 14 | 6 to 8:30 p.m.
University of Hartford 1877 Club | Harry Jack Gray Conference Center
200 Bloomfield Avenue | West Hartford
Civil discourse starts with prioritizing relationships... and Thanksgiving dinner is a perfect place to start. This community workshop will give you the skills to not just survive going home for the holidays but to build stronger relationships with your coworkers and friends as well – even when you strongly disagree.
After a brief introduction, we'll break into small groups for facilitated roundtable dialogues on gun control, immigration, and the State of Israel. We'll close by reflecting together on what we've learned.
Free and open to the public
RSVP by Wednesday, November 7 to Deb Howson at dhowson@jewishhartford.org or 860.727.6103
Co-Presented by the Jewish Community Relations Council of Greater Hartford, Hartford Seminary, and the Jewish Leadership Academy. Part of Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford’s Year of Civil Discourse.
