About Our Guest Speaker

Tish Rabe is a bestselling children’s book author and professional singer living in Mystic, Connecticut. She has written more than 170 children’s books, including titles for Disney, Sesame Street, Curious George, Clifford, Bear in the Big Blue House and more. Following the death of Dr. Seuss, Tish was selected by Dr. Seuss Enterprises to create The Cat in the Hat’s Learning Library, a series of rhyming science books for early readers. Her book “There’s No Place Like Space” is on the Wall Street Journal bestseller list every year. Tish will explain what it takes to write children books, share fun facts about Dr. Seuss and sing songs that she wrote for Sesame Street and Disney. A proud mom, stepmom and grandmother, Tish also performs jazz standards and contemporary country tunes with her band, Tish Rabe and Friends.
