"HINENI: Here for Each Other” Virtual Event on May 25 Features Lior Raz

WEST HARTFORD, CONN. (May 4, 2021) – Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford will hold its largest (virtual) community event of the year – “HINENI: Here for Each Other” – on Tuesday, May 25, from 7 to 8:15 p.m. online. The festive program will celebrate the many inspiring ways we strengthen our vibrant Jewish community.

The evening will feature an exclusive interview with Lior Raz, star and co-creator of the hit Israeli Netflix series “Fauda” (Arabic for “chaos”). Alison Lebovitz, host of “The A List with Alison Lebovitz” on WTCI/PBS in Chattanooga, Tenn., will speak with Raz about his real-life experiences in an Israeli Defense Force special forces unit and how it inspired the series. She will also get the scoop on "Hit & Run," a new action thriller by Raz and his “Fauda” co-creator Avi Issacharoff expected to premiere on Netflix in August.

A couvert of $36 per household for the virtual event includes a home-delivered box of kosher treats and a bottle of kosher Prosecco or non-alcoholic sparkling beverage. Attendees are asked to make a personally meaningful gift to Federation’s 2021 Annual Campaign and are invited to contribute to a new initiative that will strengthen Greater Hartford’s Jewish community against security threats.

HINENI is co-chaired by Risa and Roy Filkoff, Debra and Bruce Fischman, Stefanie and David Ochs, and Elise and Jerry Rosenstock.
