Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford and its umbrella organization, Jewish Federations of North America, offer a variety of opportunities to explore the vibrancy of Jewish life around the world.

New: 2018 Community Mission to Israel!

Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford periodically organizes community missions to Israel and other Jewish communities around the world. Past destinations have included the Czech Republic and Poland.

We are very excited to announce our 2018 Community Mission to Israel, which will take place October 30 through November 9, 2017! Led by Co-Chairs Carolyn and Jeff Gitlin and Vicki and Richard Rosenthal, we'll spend 10 days exploring our Jewish homeland. In addition to visiting holy sites like the Western Wall, we'll learn more about modern Israeli culture and politics and see how Federation is making a difference in the lives of our brothers and sisters in need.
