About lecture:
This lecture will examine Israel’s local and international allies following October 7, including anti-Islamist partners such as Druze, Kurds, and Iranians, as well as the growing ties with India and key developments in Europe—particularly the strengthening of an Eastern Mediterranean alliance with Greece. We will also explore support from Christian and Indigenous communities. The discussion will focus on strategies to strengthen these alliances globally and in North America, especially within today’s highly polarized environment.

About Scholar:
Dr. Olga Kirschbaum-Shirazki is a historian, editor and co-founder of Tel Aviv Review of Books, and Visiting Fellow at the Tel Aviv Institute. She received her PhD in Modern European history from New York University focusing on inter-group and inter-faith relations as well as nationalism, colonialism, and international politics in the modern period.
