According to AARP, senior citizens are increasingly victims of deceptive online practices and fraud leading to identify theft, illegal access to personal and financial records, etc., with total costs reaching billions of dollars each year. CBI congregant Teresa Campbell, a security-focused software engineer, will familiarize us with the scope and types of common cybercrimes and provide us with advice on how to stay safe online. Speaker programs are on Tuesdays from 11am to 12pm unless otherwise noted followed by a light lunch for $12 per person.
