Presidents and Incoming Presidents (VPs) of Jewish Organization and Synagogues are invited to attend Leading Through Uncertainty

“The status quo is dead… long live the status quo!” I think it’s time we recognize that the idea of a “normal” to return to is just no longer useful. We have created a world in which we experience more unpredictability and uncertainty than ever before. Unfortunately, the management practices and systems that are so pervasive in our organizations and communities don’t deal with these realities very well. As leaders, it challenges us to come to grips with the fact that we will continue to face the unknown at a pace never seen before -- and in the face of that reality, we have a responsibility to move forward and act anyway.

So, what does it take to lead through uncertainty? First, it takes leaders committed to not only grow themselves, but to ensure that their teams and communities are well equipped with what’s needed to create an environment that fosters resiliency and growth. In this workshop, we will unpack key organizational distinctions such as risk, vs. uncertainty and leadership vs. management mindsets to bring clarity and language to the dynamics critical to success in an uncertain future. We will also explore leadership attributes and behaviors that are common among organizations that thrive in times of adversity and change.
