What is Tisha B'Av? Tisha B'Av is a fast day (meaning restricting food and drink) in commemoration of the destruction of the first and second Temple, also known as the Beit HaMikdash.

What does observing Tisha B'Av mean? Fast of Tisha B'Av begins at 8:07pm on Saturday August 2nd and ends at 8:42pm on Sunday August 3rd. It is traditional to attend the reading of Eicha in the evening after the fast begins and the reading of Kinot the next morning.

Do I need to be fasting to attend? No, you don't need to be fasting to attending this event. All are welcome, although please be understanding that some attending may be fasting.

What will be happening at this event? We will be watching a Jewish themed movie followed by break fast. All food will be dairy and kosher.
