Lee Yaron, a Climate and Investigative journalist, chronicles the massacre of 10/7 through stories of its victims and the communities along the border with Gaza that they called home. The 100 survivors, the bereaved and first responders cited represent the diversity of Israel and include kibbutzniks, partiers, radical right-wingers, Bedouins, Israeli Arabs, Thai workers, Holocaust survivors and Russian and Ukrainian refugees.
