The entire community is invited to a Havdalah & Concert with Neshama Carlebach and her band! The Jewish music superstar comes to Beth El in February, bringing her tremendous voice that both honors her father – famed rabbi, composer and singer Shlomo Carlebach – and strikes a new spiritual chord of her own.

She will join us for a weekend concert experience February 10-11. From a very special Kabbalat Shabbat to Shabbat morning services and a community Havdalah and concert, she brings a talent that has been called “a bit of heaven... lending a voice to the mystic spirituality that abounds in Judaism.” The weekend coincides with Shabbat Shira, when the songs of Miriam helped a frightened Jewish people cross through the “Sea of Reeds” and into freedom.

With a voice and style that Billboard Magazine compares to Linda Rondstadt, Sheryl Crow and Amy Grant, her visit promises to combine introspection and fellowship with free-wheeling dancing-in-the-aisles fun.

Tickets for Saturday night's Havdalah & Concert are $12 in advance or $15 at the door. Children under 14 are free. Go to http://www.bethelwesthartford.org or contact the Beth El Temple office for more information (860-233-9696).

The Neshama Carlebach Artist-in-Residence weekend is being underwritten by the Gloria Goldenberg Music & Lecture Series Endowment Fund and the Leonard & Vicki Eisenfeld Endowment Fund.
