Join Igor as he traces his family’s paths through generations of Jewish life shaped by shifting borders and turbulent history. From ancestors living under the Austro‑Hungarian Empire to relatives navigating Russian conscription laws, Stalinist repression, and the upheavals of World War II, Igor brings these eras to life through vivid family stories and photos. He also explores his family’s role in early Jewish Aliyah to Palestine and the cultural threads that held them together across continents. The journey culminates in his heartfelt, modern‑day reconnections with “lost” relatives in Israel in early 90s and most recently in West Hartford - reunions that reveal both the fragility and resilience of family memory.
