About Us

Jewish Federation serves as Greater Hartford’s hub for Jewish life. Our mission is to keep our community safe, connected, and equipped with the resources needed to flourish—both through our own programming and the work of the Jewish agencies we fund.

From community security to leadership development, advocacy to education, Federation coordinates resources and builds partnerships that strengthen every aspect of Jewish life. We fund social services, support synagogues and day schools, provide security training, and maintain vital connections with Israel and Jewish communities worldwide.

Core Values

  • Act with kavod: We always treat others with honor, respect, and dignity
  • Share the hineni attitude: We boldly respond to need with “Here I am!”
  • Work b'yachad: We work together to achieve what we cannot accomplish alone.
  • Do what it takes: We pursue our shared objectives with determination and resourcefulness.
  • ChesedLearning and grow:  We commit to continuous development to meet our community's changing needs.
