JCRC Marches for Human Rights in Iran

NEW YORK – Anchored by a central rally in New York City, thousands of concerned activists gathered Thursday at rallies and events across the country to show solidarity with the Iranian people in their quest for human rights and religious and political freedom.

The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) led a delegation of local supporters to the rally.

The New York rally was organized by the Jewish Community Relations Council of New York and the UJA-Federation of New York in coalition with a broad range of political, religious and ethnic groups.  Today’s events corresponded with Iranian President Mahmud Ahmadinejad’s participation in the United Nation’s General Assembly.
