March of The Living
THE MARCH OF THE LIVING is an international, educational program that brings Jewish teens from all over the world to Poland on Yom Hashoah, Holocaust Memorial Day, to march from Auschwitz to Birkenau, the largest concentration camp complex built during World War II, and then to Israel to observe Yom HaZikaron, Israel Memorial Day, and Yom Ha'Atzmaut, Israel Independence Day. The Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford is pleased to be able to sponsor a participant in OTZMA, a service-based leadership development program designed to offer Jewish adults ages 20-26 (college graduates preferred) an opportunity to live and volunteer in Israel for 10 months in a variety of settings.
