Are you new to Greater Hartford or considering moving to our community? Relocating is never easy, but Greater Hartford Shalom, a program of the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford, wants to help you get acquainted with the people, programs and places that make up our Jewish neighborhood!

Welcome Package
The Greater Hartford Shalom Welcome Package includes an environmentally friendly shopping tote filled with gifts including: a copy of ALL THINGS JEWISH magazine, a recent edition and complimentary three-month subscription to the Connecticut Jewish Ledger, a three-month membership to the Mandell JCC, information on community activities, classes, resources, synagogues, agencies and programs for you and your family … and more!
Newcomers can choose from more than 20 synagogues and congregations representing all affiliations; adult Jewish learning programs; Jewish film and book festivals; and culture, lectures, art and music.
Our Young Adult Division is a network for individuals and young families in their 20s, 30s and 40s. Hillels at our local campuses serve college students and faculty in Hartford, West Hartford, New Britain and Storrs.
