This year, the Mandell JCC ’s 18th Annual Jewish Book Festival continues to feature nationally acclaimed authors and their extraordinary contributions to our cultural life.  The 2010-2011 series brings more authors and more events that will help us celebrate our Chai Anniversary! In Jewish tradition, Chai signifies life and portends good fortune.  The celebration also includes Webster Bank, a long-time friend and sponsor of the Book Festival as they reach their 75^th year in the community.

In addition to our strong Signature Series, we are also presenting four new free literary initiatives. We are launching a Book Club Network with an event hosted by Roxanne Coady of RJ Julia Booksellers. Families will enjoy our first-ever Great Children’s Read. We will team up with the Koopman Library for the Global Day of Jewish Learning.

We will end our series with an 18^th Anniversary celebration to honor the talented and passionate volunteers and staff who have helped us reach this Chai anniversary milestone.
