We are pleased to announce Making a Difference:  Fighting Poverty in Greater Hartford, a directory of volunteer opportunities and political advocacy.

This directory is a project of the Poverty Initiative of the Social Justice and Intergroup Relations Task Force of the JCRC, which works to mobilize our community to help fight poverty in Greater Hartford.

We produced the directory in response to social action leaders in our area synagogues in efforts to strengthen activism in their congregations.

We encourage each of you to make the most of this tool in efforts to help our community fulfill the obligation of tikkun olam – healing the fractures of our world. 

For their dedication and hard work on the Poverty Initiative, we are grateful to all members of our Social Justice and Intergroup Relations Task Force.
