
The Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford announces Dan Abrams, ABC News legal analyst, as the headliner for their entirely new signature event on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, 5:30 p.m. at The Bushnell in downtown Hartford. “I am honored the Jewish Federation of Greater Hartford has asked me to be a part of their new event. I look forward to being there and addressing the Jewish community in May,” Abrams said.
Dan Abrams regularly appears on "Good Morning America" and "World News Tonight." Abrams is also a recognized writer. He has published articles in the New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, USA Today magazine, The American Lawyer, the Yale Law & Policy Review and is a regular columnist for Men's Health. He was the Chief Legal Analyst for NBC News and MSNBC from 2008 through 2010. From June 2006 to October 2007, Abrams served as General Manager of MSNBC, during which time ratings grew by 62% and where he branded the network "The Place for Politics."
The event will kick off with an opening performance by comedian, Judy Gold.
She just wrapped up her Broadway show, "The Judy Show: My Life as a Sitcom."
The evening will include Lifetime Achievement Awards presented to Eleanor Caplan and Arnold C. Greenberg. Arnold has been active for more than fifty years in various activities of the Federation, is a board member and was a recipient of the Edward Suisman Award for Inspirational Leadership. We will also honor Coleman B. Levy for a decade of service as the Business Partership Chairman.
This event presents an opportunity for men and women to come together to celebrate our leadership and philanthropy. For many years, our signature events were VOICES and VISIONS.
